Never Lost in Translation
Lisa Yong is a catalyst. She most probably has touched your life in some way, and you were none the wiser, but so much better off. Lisa is in the business of socio-cultural intelligence. "What does that mean?", you ask? She monitors and analyzes emerging trends from all major industries (food is a big favorite of hers), as well as observes changing social phenomena, connects the two and makes translations of what that means for businesses. In simpler terms, she identifies new market spaces and business opportunities for companies like Philips, Motorola and the like.
Trained in product design, her passion has always been figuring out and connecting the bigger picture, grounded in the evolution of why things are the way they are, rather than just what's hot now. Although her forte and focus is in Asia, she is equally adept at looking at the global perspective and how everything influences everything else. At the moment, she's busy researching the evolution of the changing Asian aesthetic and discovering the new cultural vanguards and tastemakers in Asia today.
Lisa is also a pioneer. Y Studios LLC, a co-founder of RED Network, is also extending its multicultural sensitivity and insights to help Western companies develop culturally appropriate design solutions and business strategies for the Asian markets.
Can you hear the wheels turning? Feel an incredible field of energy? That's what communicating with Lisa is like. She is a very proactive, responsive, and insightful person, willing and curious to understand and explain the WHY and the HOW in clear articulate concepts: never uncertain, never any doubts.
