Micro-interview with award-winning design team, Black + Blum. ![]() Black + Blum began their design consultancy in 1998, and within 5 short years had already twice received recognition in the OXO Peugeot Design Awards and twice in the Homes & Gardens Classic Design Awards. Each product is designed with the right dose of humor and functionality. What will they do next? You'll just have to keep checking back on them! Dan Black + Martin Blum 's Three Layer Cake (F)ood Which dessert/food best describes Black+Blum design style and why? Pizza Napoli. It has the most minimal essential ingredients yet is very tasty. It has no unnecessary decorations but still looks very attractive. What was it ten years ago? We were both students – chocolate bars from the 24hours vending machine. Food you never tire of eating.
