More about Clotilde and Didier

portrait220What food/dessert best describes your design style?  How has it changed over the past five years?  What would you like it to be in five years?
A “ Flanby” (it’s a French cream caramel yogurt) because it removes well from the mold, it has a nice “clean” shape, has a good taste and does not cost much.

Five years ago it was more a home made yogurt!  And in five years we wish it could be a “Flanby” with different shapes and different tastes and flavors.

The first thing you notice in a restaurant?
Clo: the smoking or non smoking atmosphere and smell!

Di: the quality of lighting

Eating what food brings back the best memories?

Clo:A corn in the cob (with salt and melted butter) because I used to eat that with my brothers and sister around a round Knoll table.

Di: My grandma’s French fries.

The last piece of art you fell in love with?
Clo: A small table I saw in Monterrey (Mexico) it was covered with a small layer of cut multi-colored paper, stuck under a big piece of transparent glass. It looked like a painting but it was only paper.

Di: Sculpture of big human features at the Melancoly exhibition at the Grand Palais, Paris from the Australian artist Ron Mueck

If money were no object, you’d buy what for your home?
Clo: a new carpet (because the one I have right now makes too much dust!!)

Di: a home!

m30 new Company/place/institution you’d love to leave your mark on.
Clo:on the Eiffel tour

Di: on the French cookie “petit beurre”

Place you go for design inspiration?
Clo: in the streets, in the magazines, abroad.

Di: in my mind

Magazine you can’t live without.
Clo: every decoration magazine!

Di: none

Celebrity you’re inexplicably intrigued by.
Both: we are still looking for one!!

You’re most proud of your collection of…
Clo: One hub cap, I know one does not make a collection but I intend to start one, I’ve had this in mind for a long time but can never stop on the road to catch them!

Di: I don’t like collecting things.

You can never have too much…
Clo: Time

Di: Space
